Associate's Degree Student Funding Program

To help make tuition more affordable, National University has developed a funding program for associate’s degree candidates. The program will help provide funding for the unmet portion of tuition not covered by Federal and State Financial Aid assistance programs.

National University’s funding program includes a scholarship for 25% of unmet tuition as well as a special HELP LOAN for the balance of unmet tuition. Both the scholarship and HELP LOAN are available to students only for the associate’s degree program to which he or she was admitted. Features of the HELP LOAN include:

  • Fixed interest in the amount of 6.75% per annum.
  • First payment not due until six months after graduation or departure from the program.
  • The balance will be amortized over ten years and due in 120 monthly payments.

The eligibility requirements for the program are:

  • The student must complete a FASFA and be eligible for Financial Aid.
  • The student must meet the requirements for a Federal loan.
  • The student must complete an application for the Help Loan, meet minimum credit requirements, and ensure the promissory note is signed.
  • Help Loan disbursements will be made only during the months in which student is officially enrolled and actively attending his or her associate’s degree courses.
