Technology Requirements

Below is a list of minimal system requirements that are needed to successfully access your courses on the eCollege platform.

Windows Users

• Windows 2000, XP, or Vista
• Pentium III 1 GHz processor
• 256 MB RAM
• High-speed internet connection (ie: DSL, cable, etc.)
  • Note: Dial-up internet connection is supported
• SoundCard & Speakers
• Internet Explorer 7.0 (recommended)
• Internet Explorer 6.0 (supported)
• Firefox 3.0 (recommended/supported)

Mac OS Users

• Mac OS X 10.4 and 10.5
• G4, G5 or Intel Processor
• 256 MB RAM
• High-speed internet connection (ie: DSL, cable, etc.)
  • Note: Dial-up internet connection is supported
• SoundCard & Speakers
• Safari 3.0 or Firefox 3.0 (recommended)
• Safari 2.0 or Firefox 2.0 (supported)

Note: Browsers listed above have been validated with the course platform. A user risks running into problems with the course software if they choose to use a non-supported browser. Internet Explorer 8.0 is in testing and is currently on-track to become supported by June 1, 2009.
