Research Council Mission
The Research Council was established by the Provost to serve as a faculty advisory body. The Research Council exists to provide leadership fostering a culture of research and enhancing National University’s distinction in research, scholarship, and creative activities among faculty and students.
The Research Council provides collaborative faculty leadership through mentoring and support for the creation and dissemination of knowledge generated through research, scholarship and creative activities.
The Journal of Research in Innovative Teaching
An Annual Peer Reviewed Publication of National University
The Journal of Research in Innovative Teaching is an annual peer-reviewed Web-based publication of scholarship and research focused on new, effective instructional approaches and methods. This journal publishes original research articles by National University faculty, while also welcoming submissions from outside the University. The journal’s mission is to collect and disseminate advanced research-based information on teaching and learning, particularly focusing on innovative methodologies and technologies applied primarily but not exclusively in higher education, to improve educational practice and enhance student learning outcomes.
