
Escondido Teacher Residency Program at National University

In partnership with Escondido School District, National University students have the opportunity to engage with high-quality mentorship in a classroom for an entire school year, as well as earn a stipend alongside the option to serve as a paraeducator in their education specialist mentor’s classroom. This program provides aspiring teachers with affordable, high-quality coaching while they learn to plan and lead instructional activities while pursuing degrees through National University. Upon successful completion of residency, residents will be prioritized for hire into special education teaching assignments within our district.

- Master of Education in Special Education With a Preliminary Mild to Moderate Support Needs Teaching Credential
- Master of Education in Special Education With a Preliminary Extensive Support Needs Teaching Credential
