National University is proud to support paraprofessionals, custodial staff, administrative personnel, food service workers, and other classified employees at partnering K-12 entities hosting a Classified Employee Grant with a pathway to earning your California teaching credential.

If you already hold 60 semester units, a Classified Employee Grant can be applied to pursue a teaching credential program designed to meet the evolving needs of today’s educators. This grant can also be stacked with our Workforce and Community Education (WCE) tuition reduction discount.

Step 2: If your employer or county office is listed, contact your HR contact for classified employees to learn about their eligibility criteria and application process.

She can provide you with more information about the credential program(s) you are interested in at National University and guide you into the enrollment process.

She can provide you with more information about the credential program(s) you are interested in at National University and guide you into the enrollment process.

National University offers year-round enrollment with flexible monthly class start dates, allowing you to begin your studies sooner and complete your program more quickly. To be eligible for classroom instruction at the start of the school year (i.e., August), it is advisable to start your program in April or earlier.

All NU teaching credential programs are offered online.

With the availability of our convenient 4- and 8-week course structure, you can immerse yourself in career-driven credential programs that help you reach your goals — one course at a time. Program completion time depends on the degree you choose to pursue.
