An encouraging and enthusiastic educator and leader, Dr. Wittney Jones is the founding Dean of the School of Health Professions at National University (NU). She previously served as Interim Dean, Assistant Dean, and Program Director for the master’s and doctorate programs in Health Administration at the School of Health Sciences at Northcentral University (NCU). Dr. Jones brings empathy to her role leading faculty, having served more than 20 years as an award-winning faculty member in both online and traditional environments. Her leadership model focuses on removing barriers to excellence in education. She is passionate about being the catalyst that helps faculty and students succeed and achieve their goals. In addition to building a student-centered curriculum, Dr. Jones advocates for preparing students for person-centered care upon graduation. Her research has focused on student preparedness and competency-based education. Her area of expertise includes developing programs and courses that engage students in skill-based, rich learning experiences. She earned her Ph.D. in Health Services – Healthcare Administration from Walden University, and her Master of Education in Community Health Education and Bachelor of Science in Education – Community Health Education from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville.
