Celebrate Veterans with
National University
Join Us for the National University Annual Veterans Day Celebration as we recognize the 2020 Douglas Barr Awardee and the 2020 National University Veteran Victory Scholarship Awardees
Join National University as we honor the dedication of our military community by recognizing those who have served our country in uniform at our annual Veterans Day Ceremony.
We will also be celebrating the achievement of several NU Student Veterans with the annual Douglas Barr Award Awardee and recognition of the 2020 National University Veteran Victory Scholarship Awardees.
Our Keynote Speaker is Medal of Honor Recipient, CWO4 Hershel “Woody” Williams, USMC (retired), a Veteran of several campaigns with the 3rd Marine Division, who landed on Iwo Jima in the days after D-Day. On February 23, 1945, Williams acted with conspicuous gallantry in eliminating Japanese pillboxes on Iwo Jima with his flame thrower. For his actions that day, Woody was awarded our nation’s highest award for valor, the Congressional Medal of Honor.
Join us as we give a special thanks to all our Veterans — we’re excited you are celebrating with us!
